NIghtmare before Xmas

Halloween ended, but we still craving more scares and don't want to come out from the dark side. :] Tattoo is a perfect venue to have Halloween at over and over again, because is so dark and tasteful and already has that nightmare feel to it. This was one of the most interesting, yet difficult projects, as we only had a week to put it together and find all the items needed for the infamous Nightmare before Xmas theme.Webs and Candy Canes, Heads in Gift boxes, Jack and Sally - what else your dark soul can wish for? lol  Check it out and tell me what you think! Stage The Event Lounge  Snowflake (practicing my photography skills :))    Jack pumpkin  Jack - chillin'  The tree ( my fav. part)  Thank you Carlos A., Rodrigo, Anna, Alex and Stella for your help to make it so cool! Upcoming Xmas events I will be working on: Love, Si xo

Paris Theme of 2011

One of the past event back in July. This was quite an epic combination of not only Paris in London theme, but also Paris in Russia theme combined! Brainstorming for this event was a necessary must (!) and it did pay off at the end. Because the venue has its own ambiance of London and Russia to it already it was important to add enough Paris to take over the other two themes accordingly, so we did and so we succeeded, cause when Si and Stella are working together, everything is perfectionized! ;) So there it was : Romantic table for two with lots of pink and black boas, photos of Paris, Eiffel towers, berets and some Macaroons - the amazing french dessert (couldn't keep my hands off of them, yum!) Perrier was the green sponsor, so we incorporated their green bottles  into the pink and black french, and bam!, look what it appeared like... I'm addicted to Macaroons now.. Macaroon party next .. :p http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X_TtOiCuaX4&feature=related

Soiree - Table Top Competition

On August 10, 2011 me and my 14 classmates participated in a competition for the best Table Top design at Seneca College. I believe everybody put an enormous amount of work and effort in this project, cause every single one of those classmates of mine are thirsty for the attention and  to become the best Table Top Designer and Planner of the school. And of coarse, we all know from our parents, how special we are, and that every one of us is going to win this competition, but meet the reality, only one person will get all the honors and the unconditional love of the professors! (and  another one person will be considered the most likeable (peoples choice)). Saying that, let me tell you about what I created for this competition to impress the rigorous judges and get as much attention as I require. The Theme of my table top was Glam Rock and, hypothetically speaking, it is an anniversary party for the biggest iconic fashion compa...

Corona Beach @ Dragonfly

There is one of the past events that took place at Niagara falls @ Dragonfly  It was one of the annual Corona events, with lots of free booze and a beach! Yes, there was an actual beach, created by me and Cris, a bit copied from the last years Stella Garcias beach, but still an awesome beach with sand and palms and rubber toys ;) The models were pretty as always, but so didn`t want to stand on the sand and pretend that its sunny and hot, because it was quite dark and cold on that beach, but props to them for great acting skills! The event was a success also because the fun and amazing Dragonfly staff members dressed up as lifeguards or similar beach individuals. I had a blast setting up and being a part of the event!   Here is the visual summary of it, enjoy :D Photos by Brett Bolton

Cherries in my head

These two weeks I consider to be the busiest time since a while. On Friday, July 15, This Is London (TIL) had a Cherry theme event, which I made giant Cherries for to hang all over the second floor. TIL is a very exciting venue, to work with as it has London style on the first floor, and really Russian Revolution style on the second, which is now called "Red Square". Here are some shots of Russian Cherry @ TIL Love that grass, so much can be done with it  Bacardi was the sponsor of the event (http://www.bacardi.com/)  Cherries that took me a few hours to hand make Thanks for the help from Cris J. And here are some events coming up this weekend that I am actively working on: Girls Night Out @ TIL (July 22)  - Will be Orange theme with gift -bags (Girls - you don't want top miss it!) Corona Beach Party @ DragonFly (July 22) - Corona sampling, HOT girls in bikinis, lost of beach giveaways Paris in London @ TIL - Nice setting of Paris theme with macaroons an...

Griffin Poetry Prize Event

This Event took place on May 30, 2011 at the Distillery District.  Griffin Poetry Prize (http://www.griffinpoetryprize.com/) is an annual Poet competition, which gives away the biggest amounts of money for their winners - $65000 each, I believe there are 2 winners every year. Wow, lucky poets! The theme for the event was Middle Eastern with giant arcs, carpets and peacocks. We created a beautiful garden type of environment in the lounge areas of the venue, with the trees and pomegranates which was quite a challenge to put up, but at the end it turned out splendid! I wish I could stay for this event, but I was starting to slowly disappear from the starvation, so I had to go to Woo to get back into my shape, because the food at the Griffins was in the miniature portions, which smelled delicious, but is usually enough for the upscale class event, cause rich poets don't eat much at all. :)  It was an great experience to help decorate that event, as these were the most basis of whe...
